This dumbbell is made with a rigid Thermoset Polyurethane covering. Rigid Thermoset Polyurethane, sometimes referred to as rubber urethane or rubberized urethane, is a thermoset plastic. More brittle than a traditionally used CPU or TPU plate coating, this dumbbell provides a less expensive alternate for the growing vertical and consumer markets.
